The Hearing Loss Association of Houston will sponsor Walk4Hearing, a benefit walk on November 7, 2009 at 9 a.m.at Tom Bass Park Section III located at 15108 Cullen Boulevard.
The Walk4Hearing is a nationally coordinated event to raise awareness about the causes and consequences of hearing loss and to raise funds to provide information and support for persons with hearing loss. Hearing loss affects some 31 million Americans.
Funds raised will support information campaigns to increase knowledge about hearing loss, outreach at community health fairs, scholarships for students with hearing loss and installation of hearing assistive technologies at public places to name a few projects that will be supported.
The Hearing Loss Association of America provides information and support to enable people with hearing loss to live rich and productive lives.
